They are an Instructor Training Center using only the best-handpicked instructors. All instructors have at least two years of coaching experience before teaching solo, however many of them have decades of surfing experience teaching. Their head coach recently won the English National Championships and is now ranked number 1 in the country for his age category.

In their purpose-built surfing HQ, they have two separate changing rooms inside with multiple cubicles, space to store bags/clothing and secure safe boxes for valuables.

They have a large onsite pay and display car park which always has space, so no need to worry about finding a parking space. There is also a National Trust car park a few minutes walk away which is free to members.

All of their staff have up to date Enhanced DBS checks.

Students will never be in a group with a ratio of more than 8-1 with fully qualified instructors. This is usually around 5:1.

The National Trust licenses their surf school to take place on their land and they work closely with the RNLI Lifeguards to provide safe, successful surfing lessons for all of our students.

Save your energy for the surf, they have a nice flat walk along the riverside to the beach, with no sand dunes or cliff paths to navigate with surfboards.

Due to the gently sloping gradient of the beach, the waves break slowly and are forgiving enough to allow students extra time to stand up on their boards. Due to the nature of Gwithian and Godrevy Beach, and the sand banks created from the Red River, they have one of the largest surfing zones in Cornwall. This gives their students more space to surf and enjoy themselves.

For all non-surfers (or a post-surf walk) there is the fantastic seal colony just a 20-minute walk along the coastal path past the lighthouse.
