If you’re a fan of prehistoric remains, seek out Kilmartin Glen where you can discover standing circles, fascinating rock carvings and cairns. Experienced hikers have two Munros (Ben Cruachan, Stob Diamh) and a Corbet (Beinn a’ Bhuiridh) to bag; the ridge walk between the Munros offers spectacular views.

Loch Awe holiday park is a great base for heading west to the coast where there are many islands to explore, or further north to the West Highlands.
