Cove Eats Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Cove Eats Terms”), together with the Licensed Application End-User Licence Agreement set out at http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/appstore/dev/stdeula/ for Apple devices or the Google Play Terms of Service set out at https://play.google.com/intl/en_uk/about/play-terms.html devices (“the EULAs”) and any additional terms of use incorporated into the EULAs by reference, govern the use of the Cove Eats App (“App”) and the Cove Eats website Cove Eats and Cove UK (“Website”) provided by Cove Communities Property Management Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using the App or the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before placing any orders.

1. About Us

1.1 Cove Communities Property Management Limited owns and operates this service. Our registered office is at 1 Bartholomew Lane, London, United Kingdom, EC2N 2AX.

2. Agreement to Terms

2.1 By accessing and using Cove Eats, you acknowledge and accept these Cove Eats Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the App or the Website.

2.2 We may update these terms from time to time. It is your responsibility to check for updates. Continued use of Cove Eats after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

3. Eligibility

3.1 By ordering through Cove Eats, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to form binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years old.

3.2 Ordering alcohol through Cove Eats is restricted to those aged 18 and over. If you are buying alcoholic products, you must show valid ID/proof of age on request. If neither you nor any member of your group intended to consume the alcohol can prove that you are 18 or older to our team’s satisfaction, or if our team suspects that you are purchasing alcohol for someone under 18, we reserve the right to refuse to complete your alcohol order.

3.3 If an Owner or Team discount is applied to your order, you may be asked to provide proof of eligibility upon delivery. Failure to provide valid proof may result in the discount being void and the full price being charged.

3.4 We reserve the right to refuse service based on licensing regulations and internal policies. This also applies to other age-restricted items.

3.5 Admission and service at licensed premises are subject to licensing laws.

4. Placing Orders

4.1 Availability of venues and menu items on Cove Eats may vary and are subject to change.

4.2 To place an order, select your items and provide the necessary details through the App or Website.

4.3 Ensure you are seated at your table when placing an order for table service.

4.4 Double-check your order details before payment. Ensure all information, including location, table or delivery address, and products in the basket, is correct.

4.5 Once your order is submitted and payment is authorised, the order is confirmed and cannot be changed or cancelled unless otherwise specified in these terms.

4.6 Orders will not be processed if payment authorisation fails.

4.7 We may cancel orders due to unavailability, high demand, adverse conditions, or other reasons. In such cases, payments will be refunded.

4.8 Estimated delivery and collection times are not guaranteed.

4.9 If you experience technical issues when using the App, please speak to a member of the Cove team for assistance or email support@cove-eats.co.uk.

4.10 Product availability and offers are subject to change. We may offer alternatives or refunds at our discretion.

4.11 Once placed, orders cannot be amended or cancelled.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Prices on Cove Eats include VAT but may exclude additional service or delivery charges applied at check-out.

5.2 Promotional offer discounts are automatically applied at check-out.

5.2 If there is a pricing error, we will inform you of the correct price before processing your order. We are not obligated to honour incorrect pricing.

5.3 We accept Apple and Google Pay, depending on the device being used, or a payment card to process orders.

5.4 If you pay by credit or debit card you may need to present the payment card used for the order upon collection or delivery.

5.5 If we cancel your order, the reserved funds will be released back to your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.

5.6 Refunds for cancelled orders or goodwill gestures are processed through the venue’s till, with funds returned to the payment card within 48 hours.

6. Licence and Use

6.1 We grant you a limited, non-commercial license to use Cove Eats, subject to the following conditions:

  • Do not misuse Cove Eats, including attempting unauthorised access or data scraping.
  • Respect intellectual property rights in the content available through Cove Eats.

6.2 Any rights not explicitly granted in these terms are reserved by us.

7. Availability and Security

7.1 We strive to keep Cove Eats available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

7.2 Access may be temporarily suspended for maintenance or other reasons without notice.

7.3 We do not guarantee the security of data transmitted over the Internet. Use Cove Eats at your own risk.

7.4 We are not responsible for damage or data loss caused by downloading and using Cove Eats, especially on compromised (“jail-broken”) devices.

8. Allergens and Disclaimers

8.1 We aim to provide accurate information on Cove Eats but do not guarantee its completeness or accuracy. Menu items, prices, and availability may change without notice.

8.2 If you or anyone you are ordering for has allergies or dietary restrictions, please visit the Cove UK allergen page on https://cove.co.uk/allergen-information/ or speak to a member of the team before placing an order.

9. Termination

9.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to Cove Eats at any time if you violate these terms.

10. Communications

10.1 By using Cove Eats, you agree to receive electronic communications from us. You will receive order confirmation emails from order@cove-eats.co.uk. Password reset and verification code emails are sent from noreply@cove-eats.co.uk or noreply@zonal-notifications.co.uk.

10.2 We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://cove.co.uk/privacy-cookie-policy/.

10.3 If any part of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

10.4 These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of Cove Eats.

10.5 You must comply with all applicable policies and procedures while at a venue. Admission and service are subject to licensing laws and venue conditions.

10.6 Delay or failure to enforce any part of these terms does not constitute a waiver of our rights.

10.7 You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations without your consent.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These terms are governed by English law. Legal proceedings related to these terms may be brought in the English courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.

11.2 These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
