Douglas Bunn originally bought the land from his father in 1959 and created the White Horse Caravan Park, the family then invested in the business and continually improved the facilities on offer to its Seal Bay Resort (formerly Bunn Leisure) customers.
Since 1993, over £75 million pounds has been spent. All the roads have been resurfaced and new state of the art facilities has been built. The most recent projects being the development and opening of Seal Bay Resort’s new £18m White Horse complex with large entertainments venue, 10 pin bowling alley, multi-level soft play area, multi-use indoor sports courts, outdoor pool, bars, restaurants, shops and arcade, plus our great new £8m Head Office and Reception. Seal Bay Resort (formerly Bunn Leisure) has also invested in the largest private sea defence project in the history of the UK with a £20m venture that saw 93,000 tonnes of larvik rock imported from Norway to create two large revetments, with 3000 cubic metres of sand and shingle mix to replenish the new beach, the recharge taking 16 weeks alone. Bunn Leisure has also developed the fantastic £5m Oasis swimming and leisure complex with it’s six lane, 25 metre competition pool, Megasplash waterslides, state-of-the-art fitness gym and beauty centre.
