Drain Down 2023: Terms and Conditions

1) Your holiday home insurance may only be valid if drain down has been carried out by authorised competent personnel.

2) Please note we will only cover repairs up to the value of £300. If, in the rare event of an issue, we will complete all the repairs. You will then need to claim from your insurance company and we will cover the insurance excess.

3) Drain downs can be carried out at any point from late October to mid April.

4) We require 2 weeks notice to book in your drain down/ reconnection. If your drain down notification form has not been received with this notice we cannot guarantee that the work can be scheduled and therefore cannot guarantee against frost damage.

5) Please be aware that if we have extreme weather then we may not be able to commit to the agreed reconnection dates.

6) We will not cover the central heating system which includes, the central heating pipes, radiators, plus the internal boiler parts on the heating side.

7) We strongly recommend an antifreeze check once a year, this is an add on. If you require your ANTIFREEZE levels to be checked, please contact your Park Team. Please note THIS MUST BE CARRIED OUT ANNUALLY. We charge this service at £30 with £10 for every litre of antifreeze needed.

8) The drain down does not cover lighting of boilers, any parts for servicing of gas appliances.

9) Your keys need to be left with the Reception Team at any of the Argyll Parks, as without access your drain down cannot be carried out.

10) This service does not include washing machines, dishwashers, appliances inside sheds, outside taps, or ballofix.

11) If you have not booked a drain down via your park services and we anticipate severe weather, we will turn off your stop cots to ensure the safety of the local water pipes. If you wish it to be reconnected this will cost a reconnection charge of £24.

12) If you reschedule a pre-booked draindown/reconnection, you will be charged a £12 fee.

13) If you have performed your own drain down and have sustained damage or leaks, and repairs are beyond your ability, we cannot guarantee an instant repair service. We will attend repairs in the order that they are logged and reported. Owners that have used our drain down service will always take priority, however we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

14) Packages for multiple drain down and reconnections are valid for 12 months ONLY. Any services paid for will be forfeit after this time period.

15) Drain down packages cannot be transferred between Owners, but packages can be transferred between holiday homes.

16) Drain Down and Reconnection services are carried out on a week commencing basis. We cannot guarantee a specific service date, but will always aim to have the service completed by the Friday of the specified week.
